Sir Leslie Hortweldine was the multi-millionaire behind Hortweldine's Freezers.
Biography
A businessman behind the freezer company that bore his name, he had two twin sons by his wife as well as an illegitimate son by his solicitor Celia Proffitt. His will stipulated that his brothers needed to both be alive before either of them would be granted any of his fortune.
This condition was taken into note by his illegitimate son Anthony, who killed his half-brothers and mothers, placing them all in his father's freezers. He then killed Sir Leslie and imitated his family in an attempt to gain the fortune, only to be defeated by Jeff Randall and Charlie Marshall.
Personality and traits
A crusty and bitter individual, Sir Leslie was known to be utterly joyless, a trait which earned him the contempt of his shiftless son Jasper, but making him close to his son Meredith, a similarly humourless man.
Behind the scenes
- Like all the Hortweldines, he was played by John Dougall.
